The Southwest Board of Education has adopted and continues to review policies used to guide day-to-day operation of the school. The board policies are separated into six different areas. They are: Policy Overview and Mission Statement (1000's); Policies Regarding Role and Conduct of the Board of Education (2000's ); Business Operation (3000's); Policies Regarding Employees (4000's); Policies Regarding the School District's Students (5000's); Instruction and Extra Curricular Activities (6000's).

The Board of Education updates and reviews the policies on an as needed basis. Official copies are kept in the Superintendent's Office and can be reviewed during regular business hours.
