Classroom News

We have 2 new students who joined our classroom after Anastasia and Aerial Cunningham moved to Culbertson.  Welcome to Shayla Emory and Kasey Barrett.

Our field trip through the town of Indianola was so much fun!  We learned how and where letters are mailed, we visited the mayor’s office in City Hall, we walked inside the vault at the bank, we saw how the newspaper was put together, and we saw so many wonderful things at Lord’s Hardware Store.  Thank you to all the business in Indianola for showing us a great time…and for lots of gifts.

It is time for winter coats, gloves and hats.  The preschoolers must put on their own coats, hats and zip their coats.  They need lots of practice with you at home.  Please put the child’s name on all their clothing.  Lost and Found grows by leaps and bounds this time of year.

Be sure to visit the preschool web page at www.swpschools.org.  Click the link Faculty & Staff, then click on Kimmie May.  You can find the newsletter, lesson plans, what’s going on in preschool and lots of cool pictures!

This month we will be learning about spiders, turkeys and Thanksgiving!

Nurse’s Note:  Lately, we have had many children going home with a fever.  They must stay home for 24 hours after their fever has gone down.  For example if your child goes home in the afternoon, they should not return the next day.  These children need lots of rest and fluids so they can get back in the running.
