Applications for employment will be accepted at the Southwest Public School Business Office located at 900 Coke Street in Bartley. If no current openings are available, applications will be kept on file in accordance with applicable state and federal regulations.

Employment opportunities for the 2021-2022 school year include: 

1.) Custodian for the 6-12 building in Bartley
Southwest Public Schools is currently looking to hire a full-time custodian to join their maintenance staff at the Bartley site. Duties will include but will not be limited to performing daily and scheduled housekeeping duties as directed by the administration, assisting organizations in using school facilities and maintaining the grounds. Some heavy lifting and rigorous physical labor is required with this position. Prompt attendance and attention to detail is a must. Starting pay is $11.25 per hour plus full health and dental insurance. Must be able to pass a rigorous background check. Position will begin approximately May 18. 3.)Substitute para-professionals to work with students (two-years of college education or equivalent required, or ability to receive certification required). 


4.) Substitute teachers for grades Pre-School through 12.

A completed certified staff application needs to included the following: 

a. Submit a letter of application
b. Submit completed Southwest Public Schools Certified Application
c. Submit credentials (Including three letters of reference)
d. Send transcripts of undergraduate and graduate coursework
e. Submit a complete resume
